Aliyah achieved five grade 7s, three grade 5s and a Distinction, while Grace celebrated an important personal achievement, including grades 5–5 in English and a grade 4 in Maths.

Mrs Knox, Headteacher at North Durham Academy, said:

β€œBehind every result is an individual young person with their own ambitions, challenges and achievements. There have been fantastic individual and subject successes this year and we are delighted to see so many of our students able to take their next steps with confidence.

β€œI would like to thank our staff for the commitment and care they have shown our students and our parents and carers for the invaluable support they have provided throughout their children’s time with us.

β€œMost importantly, congratulations to every one of our students. We wish them every success for the future.”

The results mark the end of an important chapter for the Class of 2026, with students now preparing to move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships and other opportunities.

North Durham Academy will also hold an Open Evening on Thursday 17 September from 4pm to 6pm for families considering joining the school.
